ATM

The John Labatt Centre has four ATM’s for patron use. There are two ATMs located by section 110, one at section 105 and one at section 308.

Bag Searches

Bag searches are dictated by the show and/or the demographic and past history. Please abide by the camera policy of no video recording from any source, no audio recording from any source and no professional cameras are to be permitted inside the building. Please see camera policy for more information.

Box Office

The Box Office is located at Gate 1, on King Street. The box office hours are:

Monday to Friday  10:00 to 6:00pm
Saturday  10:00 to 4:00pm
Sunday  Closed

On all event days, the box office is open at least until 30 minutes after the event begins. On event days, that fall on a Sunday or a Holiday, the box office opens at 12:00noonor two hours prior to the event; whichever comes earlier.

During the first ‘on-sale’ day for each event, the box office must assist all customers who are purchasing tickets for that specific event first. Those customers who are purchasing tickets for other events must wait until the ‘on-sale’ line has been served.

Concessions

There are eight concession stands with televisions positioned at all stands; therefore, you will not miss any of the action while you are line to get food. In addition, there are 17 portable concession stands offering great foods such as specialty coffee, nachos and cheese and much more.

Escalators/Elevators

There are four elevators available inside the arena, at gate 1 and 4, that provide access between levels.

Family Washroom

Accessible family services washrooms are located on all levels. Baby change tables are located in the family services washrooms as well.

Ice Facts

The arena floor is 17,000 square feet and it takes approximately 3 X 24 hour days to properly make, paint and build the ice to playing depth. All of the lines and logos on the ice are hand painted, using environmentally friendly paint. Under the concrete floor, 58,800 linear feet of 1” polyethylene pipe serve as the refrigeration system for the ice. The speed of a hockey game can be controlled by the temperature of the ice.

When the John Labatt Centre hosts events other than Knights Hockey, the ice is covered and the floor is available for full use for that event. Once the event is finished, the floor is lifted off of the ice, and it is ready for the next hockey game.

* Info I received from Vince: usually only 1 1/4” (3.2 cm)  – 1 1/2”  (3.8 cm) of ice out there, when the Knights are playing it is still out there during shows but covered,  our Zambonis hold 727L of water each and when we flood we typically replace 1/16” (2.7 cm) of ice, when we host other events such as World Under 17 or figure skating the Knights hockey ice is beneath the event ice only covered. It takes approx. 3 x 24 hr. days to properly make, paint and build ice to playing depth. All paint used is environmentally friendly. The speed of a hockey game can be controlled by the temperature of the ice.
