SUNDAY MARCH 30 2008

MARTINA MCBRIDE

With Special Guests:
Emerson Drive, Johnny Reid

Country music superstar Martina McBride kicks off her long awaited Canadian tour in Calgary on March 17, 2008. Martina McBride’s tour will include stops in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Hamilton, London and Ottawa.  Emerson Drive and Johnny Reid will be joining the show when Martina McBride performs in London at John Labatt Centre on March 30, 2008, as part of what promises to be the most exciting tour of Martina McBride’s career.

Martina McBride released her latest album earlier this year, entitled; Waking Up Laughing. Waking Up Laughing has given country music the smash hit "Anyway" and the upbeat "How I Feel." Destined to become yet another McBride classic, "Anyway" has garnered CMA award nominations for "Single of the Year," "Song of the Year" and "Video of the Year." Martina is also nominated for "Top Female Vocalist" at the 2007 CMA Awards. She currently shares the record with Reba McEntire for most wins in the category, claiming "Top Female Vocalist" four times.

McBride's powerhouse voice has earned her more than 16 million in CD sales, garnering six number ones and 22 top-ten singles including her signature hits "Independence Day," "Wild Angels," "A Broken Wing" and "This One's for the Girls." These songs, along with her recent hits "Concrete Angel," "Love's the Only House" and "God's Will" have not only become memorable music statements, but offer resounding social commentaries.
