In celebration of his 40th year of touring Canada, the incomparable Charley Pride returns to Canada for select concerts in Canada in the spring of 2008
The May/June tour will visit Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Pembroke, Kingston, Cornwall, North Bay and London with further dates expected to be announced before year’s end. Tickets for the Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario concerts will go on sale this Friday, November 9th,
With an amazing 36, #1 singles to his credit, and album sales in excess of 70 million, Charley Pride concerts are back-to-back hits including “Crystal Chandelier”, “All I Have to Offer You is Me”, “Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger”, “Kiss An Angel Good Morning” and “Kaw-Liga” to mention just a few.
This year the legendary country music star released Pride and Joy – a collection of gospel music, featuring “God’s Colouring Book”, with Dolly Parton, “Amazing Grace”, and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” and “Family Bible” featuring Willie Nelson. Also included is “Jesus, It’s Me Again”, penned by Canadian Dick Damron.
Pride has played to sold-out crowds from coast-to-coast throughout his distinguished career, garnering rave reviews city after city. His rich baritone voice and engaging stage presence have made him a concert favourite.
