CANCELLED

SUNDAY’S MERLE HAGGARD SHOW AT THE JOHN LABATT CENTRE CANCELLED

Citing an illness to a member of the band, tonight’s Merle Haggard concert at the RBC Theatre at the John Labatt Centre has been cancelled.  The tour confirmed the cancellation after one of Haggard’s band members collapsed during a show in Pittsburgh last night.

Refunds have already been processed for credit card sales.  Tickets paid for using cash or Interac will need to be returned to the John Labatt Centre box office for a full refund.  The box office will be open until 8:00 p.m. this evening to process refunds.

“Merle Haggard and the tour apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused his fans and appreciates your understanding.”

RBC Theatre
If the question were asked, “Who forged the genre that is know today as ‘modern country’?” only a tiny group of country immortals could step forward to share the spotlight.  One, out of that select handful, would be Merle Haggard.  Merle wasn’t in the delivery room on the morning country music was borne; it simply seems like he was.  From legendary songs such as ‘Okie from Muskogee’, ‘Poncho and Lefty’ and ‘Today I Started Loving You Again’, Haggard has attained legendary status with over 40 number one songs and 65 albums released over his career.  Make sure you see this icon of country music at the RBC Theatre at the John Labatt Centre.
