Kings of Leon have recently extended their 'Night' tour, booking 8 more arenas across North America. Having already conquered Toronto on the spring leg of their tour, they'll be hitting London’s John Labatt Centre this fall.
Their latest album, Only By the Night, received three Grammy nominations this year and is an iTunes bestseller. Their tour is proving to be just as successful; KOL have been selling out arenas all over North America.
Their lead single “Sex On Fire” has been #1 on the Billboard “Modern Rock” chart for nine weeks and counting. The second single, “Use Somebody,” has just been released to radio and is following nicely in the footsteps of “Sex On Fire.” The video has been named “Buzzworthy” by MTV and has had nearly six million views on YouTube to date.
Only By The Night was released on September 23, 2008 and debuted in the top five on the Billboard top 200 and #1 at the iTunes store. The band has since performed on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with David Letterman. The band appeared on the cover of Spin magazine's October issue, and was on the cover of Q magazine's December issue in the UK, in which they received "Record of the Year" honours.
