Pyrotechnics

A City of London pyrotechnics permit is required for any pyrotechnics used in the building or anywhere on the premises. There will be a designated room used for strong pyrotechnics. The arena will supply fire exinguishers at the show's expense. Please contact the City of London Fire Department at 519-661-5279 for permit application and information.

Rigging

The distance from the arena floor to the roof is 70'. Distance from floor to the low steel is 58'. The total rigging weight for an end stage configuration is 95,000 lbs.; it is also 95,000 lbs for a centre stage configuration. Rigging weight for the theatre setting is 65,000 lbs. All the structural steel is divided into 10' x 10' quadrants to reduce the amount of bridling. Arena rigging plans are available from the Operations Office. All rigging plans, including the weight of each point, must be submitted to and approved by the Arena Management prior to load in.
